Amitabh Bachchan Makes a Numerical Error Regarding Gavaskar's Age, Quickly Rectifies It

Mumbai, Dec 12 (NationPress) The legendary Amitabh Bachchan amusingly made a numerical error when he misjudged the age of cricket icon Sunil Gavaskar by 10 years. However, he swiftly rectified his mistake.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Amitabh posted a series of photographs from Gavaskar’s 60th birthday celebration and remarked: “T 5221 - it was a humbling and honoured moment for me to be surrounded by the legendary GREATS of cricket .. Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath .. I mistakenly mentioned it was the 50th birthday celebration of Sunil Gavaskar.”

The film star then corrected himself in a follow-up post: “Correction .. it was Sunil Gavaskar's 60th Birthday, not 50th.”

Amitabh also shared the same images on his Instagram, emphasizing that it was a “humbling moment for me.”

“Such a humbling and honoured moment for me, to be wrapped in the same garland as the legendary GREATS of cricket ..Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath ..I believe it was the 60th birthday celebration of Sunil Gavaskar,” he wrote.

Recently, Big B appeared alongside Nana Patekar on the quiz-based reality show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16.' He praised actress Madhuri Dixit while reminiscing about his work with her.

An audience member inquired Nana Patekar about his experience with Madhuri Dixit in ‘Wajood.’

Nana replied, “It was a great experience. She is an exceptional actress—beautiful, an incredible dancer, and as an actress, she possessed everything one could desire. Moreover, she is a wonderful person, and I admire her greatly.”

Further, the audience asked about the poem, ‘Kaise batau mai tumhe’, which Nana recited for Madhuri in the film.

The actor shared that the poem was penned by Javed Akhtar and “even after 30-35 years since that film, it remains etched in my memory because of Madhuri. I recited it for her, making it unforgettable. Even today, it feels as though it’s part of my being. Whenever someone inquires about it, it evokes a flood of memories.”
