Ananya Panday: Deepika Padukone is a Champion for Everyone on Set

Mumbai, Dec 15 (NationPress) Actress Ananya Panday has showered accolades on Deepika Padukone, emphasizing that the Bollywood icon is a champion for every individual on set.
Recounting a personal experience with Deepika, Ananya shared: “When I began my career in the industry, I was unaware that one could truly advocate for their own needs. I would simply follow instructions without question.”
“Deepika is a woman who stands up for every person on the set, and she does so with great politeness. Often, when a woman voices her opinions, she is labeled as bossy or hard to work with. However, Deepika conveys her requirements in a respectful and compassionate manner, which made me realize that there are constructive ways to express oneself,” added Ananya, who collaborated with Deepika in the film Gehraiyaan.
The Call Me Bae actress recently appeared in the latest episode of O Womaniya 2024 roundtable, alongside Richa Chadha, Shakun Batra, Nikkhil Advani, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Ishita Moitra, and Stuti Ramachandra, Director and Head of Production, International Originals, Prime Video, India, moderated by Anupama Chopra.
Ananya remarked that Deepika had a significant positive influence on her.
“Deepika has inspired me as a younger actress to aspire for change. I now speak up when I feel uncomfortable with certain situations or dialogues, as I want to ensure that a young girl is not subjected to negative portrayals because of how I am depicted on-screen,” she explained.
“I am now much more aware of my choices than I have been in the past,” she concluded.
In terms of her film career, Ananya was last seen in CTRL, a screenlife thriller directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Her upcoming project is a romantic film titled Chand Mera Dil, featuring Lakshya.
