Mumbai, May 8 (NationPress) Renowned artist Arijit Singh has announced a delay for his much-anticipated live performance in Abu Dhabi due to the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
On Thursday, Arijit’s team shared an announcement via their Instagram account, revealing that the concert previously set for May 9 has been postponed.
They stated, “Dear Fans, in light of recent developments, we have made the challenging choice to reschedule the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, which was initially planned for May 9, 2025, at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island. We sincerely thank you for your patience, support, and understanding. We are coordinating closely with the venue, and the new date will be announced shortly.”
In addition, he mentioned that all tickets purchased will remain valid for the rescheduled date, and attendees may also request a full refund.
“All tickets will remain valid for the new date, or you may choose to receive a full refund within 7 days, beginning May 12, 2025 (Monday). Thank you for your ongoing love and support; we eagerly anticipate creating unforgettable memories with you soon. With love, Team Arijit Singh Live,” he concluded.
This announcement follows India’s recent military strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan, a response to the tragic loss of 26 lives in Pahalgam last month due to an attack by alleged Pakistan-sponsored terrorists.
Following the attack, Arijit Singh had also canceled his concert in Chennai. He communicated to his fans through an Instagram story, sharing the cancellation notice from the event organizers.
The tragic attack, which targeted tourists, resulted in over 20 fatalities, including a local hero who attempted to thwart the terrorists and was ultimately shot. The assailants segregated tourists based on their faith before executing them.
The terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) has claimed responsibility for this heinous attack. TRF is an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist group based in Pakistan, and emerged following the significant abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, which previously granted special status to the region now classified as a union territory.
