Chennai, Feb 13 (NationPress) The producers of actor Atharvaa’s upcoming movie, helmed by Aakash Baskaran, revealed its title as ‘Idhayam Murali’ on Thursday.
Dawn Pictures, the film’s production company, showcased the title teaser along with the first and second looks during a well-attended event at the St Joseph’s Institute of Technology in Chennai.
Interestingly, the film’s title, ‘Idhayam Murali’, evokes memories of the iconic ‘Idhayam’, a significant success for actor Atharvaa’s father, Murali.
The teaser presented Atharvaa portraying a character named Idhayam Murali. In the clip, Atharvaa is seen in the US, viewing a friend's video proposal to his girlfriend. Upon finishing the clip, he receives a call from his uncle inquiring about his whereabouts since all the wedding guests are waiting for him. Idhayam informs him he is in New York. His uncle, taken aback, urges him to return to India. Idhayam replies he will head to the airport immediately, leading his uncle to say he will stay on the line until he boards a flight home…
Notably, one of the leading music directors in South India, Thaman, makes a return to acting with this film, having previously starred as a lead in Shankar’s acclaimed film ‘Boys’. Interestingly, Thaman is also composing the music for this project.
The cast features not only Atharvaa and Thaman but also actors Preity Mukundhan, Kayadu Lohar, Natty, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, and Yashashree, among others.
Cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, while editing is done by Pradeep E Ragav. The film is co-directed by Senthilkumar Kesavan, with dialogues penned by Ramanagirivasan, Aakash Baskaran, and Dravid Selvam.
