Chennai, Feb 11 (NationPress) Director Rahul Paramahamsa’s upcoming film, ‘Subramani’, featuring actor Richard Rishi in the lead role, will showcase a Belgian Malinois dog in a crucial capacity, as revealed by the film's creators.

According to sources, director Vincent Selva, a prominent figure in the Tamil film industry, has crafted the story, screenplay, and dialogues for this action-crime thriller.

The film stars Richard Rishi, recognized for his remarkable performances in various films, including ‘Draupathi’.

A source stated, “For the first time, a unique breed known as the Belgian Malinois, primarily utilized in military functions, will play an essential role in this movie.” It was also noted that the producers took necessary steps to train the dog, and Richard Rishi dedicated over a month to bond with the animal.

“The film promises to be a fast-paced action crime thriller filled with unforeseen twists and turns. Directed by Rahul Paramahamsa, who previously assisted Vincent Selva, known for ‘Jithan 2’, the film is set to captivate audiences,” the source added.

The first filming schedule has been successfully completed in the dense forests of Kodaikanal, with the second phase of shooting commencing soon. The conclusion of this phase will signify the end of filming.

Director Vincent Selva remarked, “Dogs have consistently been recognized as humanity's best friends throughout history. From sacred texts to mythology and history, dogs have characterized companionship in human narratives. Renowned filmmakers and writers such as Akira Kurosawa, Stephen King, and Steven Spielberg have often featured dogs in significant roles. I have long aspired to create a film centered on this theme, and at last, it has materialized with ‘Subramani’, showcasing a rare Belgian Malinois in a key role. Richard Rishi will portray a major character, and their combined presence will resonate deeply with audiences.”

The production of the film is led by S Soundarya of S Productions, with co-producers Pronov and Balaji overseeing the project.

The film's cinematography is managed by Akilesh Kathamuthu, with editing by Sujirbabu S. Saravana Abiraman is responsible for art direction, and stunt choreography is led by Rambo Vimal.
