He revealed how they selected Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty for the sequel.
In his conversation with IANS, Bhushan Kumar noted that Sunny Deol required little persuasion to join "Border 2."
"Border is incomplete without Sunny Paji (Sunny Deol). So, we approached him first, and he instantly agreed, saying, 'I will definitely do it,'" the producer revealed.
He added, "Of course, he had a connection with J.P. sir as well, and the sequel to his legendary Border was being made with the director's approval."
Furthermore, Bhushan Kumar disclosed that director Anurag Singh was keen on having Diljit Dosanjh involved in the project.
"When we approached Diljit, he was very enthusiastic about participating in the film," he said.
The producer confessed he wasn't initially sold on Varun Dhawan, but after witnessing his performance, he was thoroughly impressed.
"I don't believe we've seen such a display from Varun before this. He himself acknowledges that this is one of his top performances," he mentioned.
Next, Ahan Shetty joined the cast, continuing the legacy of his father Suniel Shetty admirably.
"This is his second film, and he has given an outstanding performance," praised Bhushan Kumar.
