Bryan Adams Shares His Fondness for ‘Rajma Chawal, Gol Gappas, and Momos’

Mumbai, Dec 17 (NationPress) Renowned global music star Bryan Adams, who is presently in India for his So Happy It Hurts Tour 2024, has conveyed his appreciation for Indian culinary delights, including rajma chawal, momos, vada pavs, and masala dosa.

Adams, set to conclude his seven-city tour in Goa on Tuesday, marking the end of his ‘So Happy It Hurts’ world tour, revealed that India has always been significant to him.

"I am thrilled to be back in India for my tour! This country has always held a special place in my heart, and I eagerly anticipate immersing myself in its rich culture and delicious vegan foods once again,” Adams shared with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (India).

When discussing his culinary cravings, he mentioned: “I’m particularly excited about indulging in rajma chawal, idli sambar, gol gappa, vada pav, momos, and masala dosa!”

The Canadian singer-songwriter has achieved sales of between 75 million and over 100 million records and singles globally, securing his position as one of the most successful music artists.

At the age of 20, his debut album was launched. He gained popularity in North America with the 1983 hit album Cuts Like a Knife, which featured its title track and the ballad "Straight From the Heart," his first top ten hit in the US, written when he was just 18.

His 1984 album Reckless made history as the first album by a Canadian to receive diamond certification in Canada, establishing him as an international sensation with six charting singles, including "Run to You" and "Summer of '69", both of which became fan favorites.

In 1991, Adams launched "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," which topped the charts in at least 19 countries, including a remarkable 16 consecutive weeks at number one in the UK. This single is among the best-selling of all time, with sales exceeding 15 million copies worldwide.

Adams ranks 48th on the all-time top artists list on the Billboard Hot 100.

Regarding accolades, Adams has been honored with 20 Juno Awards, a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media among 16 Grammy nominations, and has received nominations for five Golden Globe Awards and three Academy Awards for his film songwriting.
