Los Angeles, March 11 (NationPress) Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron disclosed that his wife wept for four hours upon her initial viewing of “Avatar: Fire and Ash.”

In a discussion with Empire, Cameron shared that when he presented an early version of the sci-fi epic to his wife, she was utterly overwhelmed with emotion and couldn’t hold back her tears, as reported.

“My wife experienced the entire film from start to finish. She had been keeping herself away from it, and I hadn’t revealed any parts to her along the way. This was on Dec. 22,” Cameron stated.

“She cried for four hours. She attempted to collect herself enough to provide me with specific feedback, only to tear up again and begin crying once more. Eventually, I had to say, ‘Honey, I need to sleep. Sorry, we can discuss it later,’” as reported by variety.com.

“Fire and Ash” marks Cameron's third installment in the expansive “Avatar” series. While the plot details remain under wraps, the director recently mentioned that the film will “be a little bit longer” than its predecessor, “The Way of Water,” which ran for three hours and 12 minutes.

“You will witness much more of Pandora that has never been seen before,” Cameron remarked about the film during a D23 presentation, where he announced the official title, “Fire and Ash.”

“It’s an extraordinary adventure, a visual feast, yet it carries very high emotional stakes, more than ever before. We are delving into truly challenging territory for all the beloved characters,” he added.

The franchise features Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, who will reprise their roles from the first two “Avatar” films in “Fire and Ash.” They will return along with Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Bailey Bass, Joel David Moore, Edie Falco, and Dileep Rao.
