Los Angeles, April 23 (NationPress) The iconic guitarist Carlos Santana was taken to a hospital just before his concert in San Antonio. A spokesperson for Santana, who is 77 years old, announced that the performance at the Majestic Theater will be postponed.

The concert was set for Tuesday (Pacific Standard Time). Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management and Santana's representative, stated, "It is with great regret that I must inform you all that tonight's concert in San Antonio has been postponed,” as reported by ‘People’ magazine.

He added, “Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for the evening's performance when he experienced an event classified as dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and for Mr. Santana's health, postponing the concert was deemed the most sensible decision.”

He continued, "He is recovering well and looks forward to returning to San Antonio soon, as well as continuing his U.S. Tour. Thank you all for your understanding. The concert will be rescheduled shortly.”

According to ‘People’, those who hold tickets are encouraged to keep them while waiting for the new date.

Carlos Santana faced an injury in January 2025 when he fractured his finger during a severe fall, leading to the postponement of his Las Vegas residency.

“I regret to inform you that Carlos was out walking at his vacation residence in Kauai. He suffered a significant fall and broke his little finger on his left hand,” Vrionis stated at that time. “He required pins to be inserted into his finger. Sadly, he won’t be able to play the guitar for around six weeks.”

In July 2022, Santana had a similar incident of collapsing on stage due to dehydration. He fainted during a concert in Michigan and was subsequently hospitalized for his injuries.
