Chennai, Jan 9 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially given the green light to director Vignesh Karthick's forthcoming film 'Hotspot 2 Much', starring actress Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead role, allowing it to be released with a U/A certificate.

This past Friday, the film's producers unveiled a poster that confirmed the Censor Board's approval.

The recently released trailer has further heightened the anticipation among fans and movie enthusiasts.

The trailer indicates that this sequel in the Hotspot series will maintain a similar tone to its predecessor.

It opens with a mother questioning her teenage daughter about the caste of her boyfriend's family. The modern daughter responds, 'They are our people. Can't you tell just by looking at them?' to which her confused mother asks, 'How can you say that just by looking at them?' The daughter quips back, 'They didn't have tails. That means they belong to our species, right?'

The trailer also features actor Ashwin Kumar scolding a friend who has fallen asleep during an important conversation. The friend, waking up, apologizes, stating, 'Sorry machan, I tend to doze off if I don't like the story.' This moment recalls a past controversy involving Ashwin Kumar. Additionally, the trailer showcases Rakshan and Aadhitya Baaskar as two devoted fans of film stars. Priya Bhavani Shankar's role in the film remains somewhat ambiguous, although a scene hints at her discussing a scenario where an older hero is paired with a younger heroine. The film also showcases empowered female characters expressing desires for a DINK (Double Income No Kids) lifestyle and casual relationships.

Directed by Vignesh Karthick, the film boasts a talented cast including Priya Bhavani Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, Rakshan, Ashwin Kumar, and Aadhitya Baaskar. Supporting roles are filled by M S Baaskar, Bhavani Sre, Brigida Saga, and Sanjana Tiwari.

Notably, the film is produced under actor Vishnu Vishal's banner, Vishnu Vishal Studioz.

On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Jagadeesh Ravi and Joseph Paul, while the score is composed by Satish Raghunathan, with editing handled by Muthayan U. C Shanmugam is responsible for the art direction, and the film is co-directed by Kishore Sankar.
