Los Angeles, March 22 (NationPress) Renowned singer-songwriter Dolly Parton recently opened up about the emotional tribute to her late husband, Carl Dean.

Just two days after the three-hour special, ‘Opry 100: A Live Celebration’, aired live, which featured a remarkable performance of ‘I Will Always Love You’, Parton, aged 79, shared her feelings in an Instagram Stories statement, as reported by ‘People’ magazine.

She expressed, “I have not stopped crying over the beautiful tribute of ‘I Will Always Love You’ on the 100th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry show.”

“All those beautiful people with their amazing voices singing my song as a tribute to my husband Carl… the emotion was beyond words. I have cried enough to wash a great deal of the pain away, so thanks to all of you beautiful souls that made that possible,” her message continued. “I will always love you.”

According to ‘People’, Parton announced Dean's passing on Instagram. He was 82 years old. Although the cause of death was not disclosed immediately, Parton's post stated that he would be honored in a private ceremony attended by immediate family.

“Carl and I shared many wonderful years together. Words can't capture the love we had for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and support. The family requests privacy during this challenging time,” she wrote. Before the performance of ‘I Will Always Love You’, which featured Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood from Lady A, Reba McEntire, and Carrie Underwood, a special message from Parton was shared.

“Well hello, I am Dolly Parton and I proudly belong to the Grand Ole Opry. I regret that I can't join everyone in person, but you know my heart and spirit are with you,” Parton said in the video, as noted by Knox News Sentinel.

The performance included around 50 members of the Grand Ole Opry.
