Chennai, Jan 18 (NationPress) The creators of director Ashwath Marimuthu’s romantic comedy ‘Dragon’, starring actor Pradeep Ranganathan in the main role, announced on Saturday that they are rescheduling the film's release from February 14 to February 21.

Director Ashwath shared the news on X, stating, “With deep love and respect for Ajith sir, his fans, and the team of #vidamuyarchi, we have decided to postpone our film by one week to Feb 21st. We’ll utilize this additional week to enhance our product and promote the film effectively! We leave the rest to the audience @pradeeponelife @archanakalpathi @aishkalpathi @Ags_production.”

The decision by the ‘Dragon’ team comes a day after the makers of actor Dhanush’s ‘Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam’ revealed their own film would be delayed from February 7 to February 21.

Originally, Dragon was set to premiere on February 7, but it was later moved to February 14 in time for Valentine’s Day. However, following the announcement that director Magizh Thirumeni’s ‘Vidaa Muyarchi’, featuring actor Ajith in the lead, would release on February 6, other production houses chose to adjust their release dates.

In addition to Pradeep Ranganathan, Dragon will showcase renowned directors K S Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, and actors VJ Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameshwaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, and producer Thenappan, among others.

The film is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh, featuring music by Leon James and cinematography by Niketh Bommi.

Editing is handled by Pradeep E Ragav, while stunts are choreographed by Vicky and Dilip Subbarayan. The storyline was co-written by Ashwath Marimuthu and Pradeep Ranganathan, with dialogues and screenplay also crafted by Ashwath Marimuthu.

The film is co-directed by Ramesh Narayanan, with costume design by Dinesh Manoharan and Praveen Raja.
