Mumbai, March 28 (NationPress) Renowned television personality Ektaa Kapoor has committed to donating her winnings from the reality show “Wheel Of Fortune” to actor Rajpal Yadav as a supportive move.
Ektaa, along with Wamiqa Gabbi and Rajpal, appeared on the Akshay Kumar-hosted show to promote their forthcoming movie “Bhooth Bangla”. During the game, Ektaa decided to share her prize money with Rajpal as a gesture of goodwill.
For those unfamiliar, Rajpal Yadav has been embroiled in legal issues with Murli Projects Pvt Ltd over allegations of defaulting on repayment. In court, he stated that the opposing party wasn't interested in recovering the money; they aimed to have him imprisoned instead.
Rajpal argued that after serving his prison term, the matter should be resolved, as he has fulfilled his legal obligations. He clarified that the film incurred a cost of Rs 22 crore, contrary to the Rs 5 crore figure suggested by the other party, resulting in a loss of Rs 17 crore.
His legal representative mentioned that they had submitted a standard bail application, with the court granting interim bail.
