Mumbai, Feb 16 (NationPress) Ektaa Kapoor's legal representative, Rizwan Siddiquee, has released a statement regarding the accusations made by Hindustani Bhau in a 2020 case. Hindustani Bhau initiated a misleading complaint against Ektaa Kapoor, alleging that she disrespected our jawans.

In response, Ektaa Kapoor's attorney has brought up the potential for a civil defamation lawsuit, seeking 100 crores in damages.

Regarding the matter, Ektaa R Kapoor's lawyer stated, "Acting on behalf of my client Ms. Ektaa R. Kapoor, along with her family and ALT Digital Media Entertainment Ltd., I would like to formally express the following:

1) Certain individuals and entities, driven by personal interests and hidden agendas with criminal motives, are disseminating false and misleading information concerning my clients and an old 2020 police complaint, which has already been resolved by the police.

2) When the matter was reviewed by the Honorable 9th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Bandra Court, he did NOT acknowledge the complaint and instead requested a police investigation report to verify the truthfulness of the complaint presented to him. This is referred to as the postponement of process issuance under the law. In this context, no one should have irresponsibly issued public statements or articles insinuating or suggesting that my client has committed any wrongdoing as alleged.

Despite these facts and the legal circumstances, some individuals are still attempting to defame my clients and seek publicity at the expense of their name and reputation. Consequently, I have been instructed to pursue strict legal actions under both civil and criminal laws against these offenders.

My clients are considering filing a civil defamation suit for 100 crores against these individuals, in addition to pursuing criminal charges."
