Mumbai, Feb 16 (NationPress) Ektaa Kapoor's attorney, Rizwan Siddiquee, has made a statement regarding Hindustani Bhau's allegations in a case from 2020. Hindustani Bhau previously lodged a misleading complaint against Ektaa Kapoor, claiming she showed disrespect towards our jawans.
In response, Ektaa Kapoor's lawyer has indicated intentions to file a civil defamation suit seeking 100 crores in damages.
Rizwan Siddiquee stated, "Acting on behalf of my client, Ms. Ektaa R. Kapoor, her family, and ALT Digital Media Entertainment Ltd., I want to clarify the following:
1) Certain individuals and organizations with personal interests and hidden agendas are disseminating false and misleading information regarding my clients and an older 2020 police complaint that has been closed.
2) When this matter was presented to the Learned 9th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Bandra Court, he did NOT acknowledge the complaint and requested a police investigation report to verify its authenticity. This represents a 'postponement of the issuance of process under law.' Given this situation, no one should have irresponsibly made public statements insinuating that my client has committed any wrongdoing, as alleged.
Despite this legal clarity, some individuals are still attempting to defame my clients for personal gain, jeopardizing their reputation. Consequently, I have been instructed to pursue rigorous legal actions under both civil and criminal laws against these offenders.
My clients are therefore planning to proceed with a 100 Crores civil defamation lawsuit against these individuals, alongside criminal charges."
This statement was shared on Rizwan Siddiquee's X (formerly Twitter).
