Ektaa R Kapoor Congratulates Devendra Fadnavis on His Landmark Victory in Maharashtra Elections

Mumbai, Dec 1 (NationPress) The cast and crew of the newly released theatrical film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ met with BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis.
On Sunday, Ektaa R Kapoor, the producer of the film and Padma Shri award recipient, took to her Instagram to share a photograph featuring the team, including Amul Mohan, during their meeting with Fadnavis.
In her caption, she expressed, “Heartfelt congratulations to Shri @devendra_fadnavis ji on your remarkable triumph in the Maharashtra state elections! Your leadership and vision have motivated countless individuals, and this accomplishment is truly well-earned. We are thankful for your steadfast support and encouragement for #TheSabarmatiReport - it is immensely meaningful to us as we progress on this journey. We are grateful to have you by our side.”
Due to the BJP's significant vote share and their advantageous position at the negotiation table in the recently concluded Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Fadnavis is seen as the leading candidate for the Chief Minister role in Maharashtra.
The Mahayuti coalition, consisting of BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar), achieved a sweeping victory, claiming 230 out of 288 seats, marking the first such accomplishment since the 1980s in Maharashtra.
In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition, which includes INC, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar), secured only 46 seats in the state Assembly elections.
The Mahayuti alliance has yet to announce its Chief Minister as negotiations are still ongoing. They are expected to establish the government on December 5, with the swearing-in ceremony for the state's Chief Minister scheduled for that day.
Meanwhile, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ focuses on the tragic incident involving the burning of the Sabarmati Express train, which occurred on February 27, 2002, when a mob ignited a fire in the S6 coach near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat. The film features Vikrant Massey as a Hindi journalist who confronts the system in pursuit of truth in journalism.
The film has previously been designated as tax-free in states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Odisha.
Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is being distributed worldwide by Zee Studios.
