Mumbai, March 22 (NationPress) Esteemed Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan, who recently appeared in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, has been offered a piece of advice by producer Prerna Arora.
This follows Jaya Bachchan's remarks regarding the title of the Akshay Kumar-led film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. The actress openly shared her dissatisfaction with the film's title, labeling it a “flop film” during a media conference.
In response, Prerna released a statement expressing her differing viewpoint while also conveying her admiration for the actress.
She stated, “I have always held Jaya ji in high esteem. She is among my favorite actors, and I have consistently respected her throughout my journey. I have even shared my admiration with her personally before I embarked on my career in the film industry.”
Prerna further added, “I kindly urge Jaya Ji to give ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ a chance by watching it, especially since she found the title unsuitable. Given her vast experience and stature, it would be wonderful for her to allocate some time to view the movie. It was also one of Akshay sir’s finest films in collaboration with Viacom 18.”
In a related note, prior to the pandemic, Prerna experienced a fallout with Bollywood star John Abraham. John initiated legal proceedings against Prerna’s production company, KriArj Entertainment, in 2018, a year post the release of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. This incident coincided with the launch of his film ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’, resulting in numerous controversies. Ultimately, the Bombay High Court ruled in favor of John’s production house, terminating the film’s association with KriArj Entertainment.
Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar, who starred in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and is a close friend of John, chose to distance himself from Prerna and did not extend his support to John during the legal proceedings.
