New Delhi, June 23 (NationPress) Acclaimed filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer, known for producing blockbuster hits like Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Top Gun, Bad Boys, and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, has emphasized that India presents a significant opportunity for international cinema. He noted that the Indian audience has a profound love for films and a flourishing film industry filled with exceptional directors and actors.

When asked about his perspective on India's potential as a market for global films, Bruckheimer shared with IANS: “I believe it’s an incredible market. As you mentioned, they have a passion for movies, and they’re remarkable filmmakers in their own right.”

“India boasts talented directors and actors, alongside a vibrant theatre and film scene. We appreciate those who share our passion for storytelling,” he added.

Bruckheimer, whose films like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Bad Boys II hold records for the highest-grossing opening weekends, also discussed his creative process in selecting stories to bring to life on screen.

“Ultimately, it comes down to what I personally want to watch. I don’t create films that don’t resonate with me because I can’t predict what others might enjoy. I focus on what captivates me, and that’s what I produce,” he explained.

His latest venture, F1: The Movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is a sports drama centered around the Formula One World Championship, developed in partnership with the FIA, its governing authority.

The film features Brad Pitt in the leading role, alongside Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem.

Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures present a Monolith Pictures / Jerry Bruckheimer / Plan B Entertainment / Dawn Apollo Films production, a Joseph Kosinski film, F1: The Movie, which will be distributed globally by Warner Bros. Pictures, and is set to premiere in India on June 27 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
