Jim Carrey Claims He Has Always Been Part of the ‘Sonic Universe’

Los Angeles, Dec 5 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Jim Carrey, the voice behind Doctor Eggman in the anticipated film ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’, revealed that this movie does not signify a comeback for him because he has never departed from the Sonic universe.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ draws inspiration from the video game franchise by Sega. This sequel follows in the footsteps of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’, directed by Jeff Fowler with a screenplay penned by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on a narrative by Casey and Miller.

In discussing his presence in the franchise, Jim Carrey infused his trademark wit and charisma, stating, “I never left the Sonic universe! Where else would I venture? The Sonic universe is all-encompassing. Only a fool would attempt to define it. I believe it was Carl Sagan who mentioned, ‘For beings as small as we, vastness is manageable only through collecting 50 rings or discovering a chaos emerald.’ I’m paraphrasing, of course. Carl Sagan said something entirely different, but I’m confident he was a significant Sonic fan, so I doubt he’d mind.”

Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails come together to face a formidable new foe, Shadow, a mysterious antagonist possessing powers unlike any they have encountered. With their skills outmatched in every aspect, Team Sonic must pursue an unexpected alliance in their quest to thwart Shadow and safeguard the planet.

This film is filled with heart-racing action, hilarious moments, and high-speed excitement, promising to elevate the franchise to extraordinary new levels.

Scheduled for release in theaters on January 3, 2025, the film will be available in 2D and 4Dx.
