The storyline of 'Homebound' follows two childhood friends from a small village in North India who aspire to be police officers, believing that this career will earn them the respect they crave.
However, their journey to achieve their dreams leads to unexpected challenges that strain their friendship.
Jointly produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the Dharma Productions banner, the film features Ishaan Khatter as Mohammed Shoaib Ali, Janhvi Kapoor as Sudha Bharti, Vishal Jethwa as Chandan Kumar, and Harshika Parmar as Vaishali, Chandan's sister.
In the meantime, Chandan described working under director Neeraj Ghaywan as a dream. "Working on 'Homebound' has been nothing short of a dream. Collaborating with Neeraj Ghaywan, whose cinema I deeply respect, and under Dharma Productions, has been a milestone for me," he expressed.
He praised his co-stars, Janhvi and Ishaan, saying, "Sharing screen space with Janhvi, Ishaan, and Vishal — actors with such distinct energies — elevated the experience. When you are surrounded by passionate storytellers, it sharpens your own craft. I am not chasing stardom, but I am walking this path with sincerity and fire. And when people like Neeraj sir trust your performance, it feels like you are not just acting — you are arriving."
