Mumbai, April 10 (NationPress) Actress Khushi Mukherjee is preparing to make her acting debut alongside Arbaaz Khan and has disclosed that her path into acting was profoundly influenced by the iconic Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.
In an honest reflection on her formative years, Khushi recounted a magical childhood moment when she encountered SRK at a charity event in Kolkata, where he appeared with Juhi Chawla during the promotions for “Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani.” This experience ignited her aspirations to enter Bollywood.
Speaking about this pivotal moment, Khushi shared with IANS, “I would absolutely love to star in a romantic drama with Shah Rukh Khan. The reason I ventured into acting is because of Shah Rukh. I first laid eyes on him when I was just three or four years old at a charity function in Kolkata with Juhi Chawla for Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani. The level of fame and admiration he commanded was astounding, and it was at that moment I resolved to become someone like him.”
Khushi Mukherjee is poised to make her Bollywood debut in an upcoming untitled film featuring a star-studded cast, including Rajpal Yadav, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, and other well-known figures. She will also perform in an energetic dance number. This film is anticipated to be a cinematic spectacle, uniting some of the most prominent names from regional cinema — such as Ravi Kishan, Pawan Singh, Khesari Lal Yadav, and Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua) — all sharing the screen for the very first time. This project serves as the Hindi adaptation and sequel to a major hit from the regional film sector.
When questioned about what attracted her to this project, Khushi Mukherjee responded, “Well, I wouldn’t say it was entirely intentional. I simply wanted to transition towards something more meaningful. I decided to step back from the web series I had been involved in and concentrate on honing my dance skills. Then, out of the blue, I got this opportunity, and I seized it. It was truly a manifestation of what I had been aspiring for.”
Khushi Mukherjee has established herself in the South Indian film industry, with significant roles in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema, as well as appearances on popular reality shows like “Splitsvilla X,” “Love School Season 3,” and “Baalveer Returns.”
