Chennai, Mar 12 (NationPress) Actor Kiran Abbavaram is preparing for the premiere of his action-packed film, Dilruba, and has expressed his desire to assist 10 individuals from middle and lower middle-class backgrounds who dream of entering the film industry but lack the necessary resources.

During a promotional event for his movie, he shared, “When I first arrived in Krishna Nagar, there were around 40 to 50 people with me. We gathered in various locations to discuss films and aspired to produce short films. However, over time, that figure dwindled to 40, then 30, and finally just 10. Now, we are down to two or three. The primary issue is the lack of opportunity.

Kiran Abbavaram, reflecting on his own struggles, remarked, “Earning every single rupee is a challenge. If someone from a middle-class or lower-class background expresses their intent to move to Hyderabad for a job, say in software, people wish them well. But when we mention moving to Hyderabad to seek opportunities in cinema, the response is different. There's little to no support, often not even Rs 5,000 or Rs 10,000 monthly, because there’s a lack of faith in cinema.”

“I’ve encountered numerous individuals along my journey who gave up due to hopelessness. I cannot predict my future success or longevity in this industry. However, I firmly believe that if I manage to establish myself, I must give back. Today, thanks to the love and support I've received, I find myself in a better position,” he stated.

“I assure you from this platform that every year, I can support 10 individuals from lower middle-class or middle-class backgrounds who are passionate about cinema and wish to pursue a career in this field but lack resources. This support can encompass food, accommodation, or any aspect related to enhancing their skills in the film industry. As of now, I am able to assist 10 individuals,” he affirmed.

“If fortune smiles upon me and my stature increases, I aspire to help 100 or even 1,000. But presently, for those who are ardent about cinema and lack support, I can meet their basic needs. I believe it is my responsibility,” he added, urging filmmakers from rural areas who have moved to Hyderabad not to abandon their dreams.

“I implore every filmmaker who has journeyed from a village not to lose hope and to strive for their dreams,” he concluded.
