Hyderabad, Nov 15 (NationPress) The creators of the highly anticipated cinematic masterpiece directed by S. S. Rajamouli, starring Telugu icon Mahesh Babu in the central role, officially unveiled the film's title as 'Varanasi' on Saturday. Furthermore, they revealed that Mahesh Babu will portray a character named Rudhra in this project.

In addition, the team thrilled both fans and movie enthusiasts by launching an astonishing title teaser during the announcement event. The teaser suggests a narrative that traverses multiple time zones and locations, incorporating a spiritual theme.

In his remarks at the event, director S. S Rajamouli expressed, "Traditionally, I would hold a press conference to announce the storyline of my films. However, for this particular project, we realized that mere words could not encapsulate the grandeur and magnitude of what we are creating. Hence, we opted to produce an announcement video instead.

Our intent was to visually convey the film's scale and vision without uttering a single word. Unfortunately, that video faced delays, but we are thrilled to share it now."

Despite facing some technical challenges, the team successfully unveiled a captivating title teaser.

Praising veteran actor Krishna, Mahesh Babu's father, for pioneering numerous technologies in Indian cinema, S. S Rajamouli remarked, "As a youth, I didn't fully grasp Krishna garu's brilliance until I entered the film industry. However, after producing films, I recognized his profound impact. Innovating technology requires courage and vision. He has been a trailblazer in that regard."

Moreover, the director proudly noted that they are introducing a novel technology to Indian cinema, known as Premium Large Scale Format Filmed For IMAX.

The film, previously titled 'GlobeTrotter', was revealed at a spectacular event held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, attended by thousands of enthusiastic fans.

Described as a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, the event attracted a massive turnout, making it one of the largest live fan gatherings ever recorded in Indian entertainment.

The grand stage featured an impressive height of 100 feet and a 130-foot-wide screen that complemented the event's remarkable scale.

The evening also showcased a dance performance by Shruti Haasan.

Excitement surrounding the film is palpable, with the production team already revealing the characters and appearances of Prithviraj and Priyanka Chopra. Prithviraj will take on the role of the antagonist Kumbha, while Priyanka Chopra will portray Mandakini.
