Chennai, May 27 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam has firmly dismissed circulating rumors suggesting that he is set to direct a romantic film starring Telugu actor Naveen Polishetty alongside Rukmini Vasanth.
In a recent video conversation with a film journalist, Ratnam was questioned about these reports, which claimed that after the premiere of his forthcoming movie 'Thug Life', slated for release on June 5, he would embark on a light-hearted romantic project featuring the Telugu star.
With a chuckle, the acclaimed director remarked, "That’s news to me! I have no idea what you’re referring to," he added, further emphasizing his surprise.
When pressed about the possibility of a future film, he optimistically replied, "Hopefully."
On whether he has finalized his next screenplay, he shared, "I’m contemplating. I’m developing a couple of scripts. It’s uncertain what will materialize. What seems promising today might not hold tomorrow. I’m actively working on it."
Currently, Ratnam is busy with the promotion of his upcoming film Thug Life, which stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film also features notable actors such as Silambarasan, Trisha, Joju George, Ashok Selvan, and Abhirami in significant roles.
