Hyderabad, Dec 10 (NationPress) The team behind director Sandeep Raj's anticipated romantic action film 'Mowgli 2025', starring actor Roshan Kanakala and Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar in lead roles, has officially declared that the movie will now premiere on December 13 this year, much to the joy of its fans and cinema enthusiasts.

In a post on their X timeline, People Media Factory, the production company backing the film, stated, "The 'LION' roars, and #Mowgli steps back to welcome the Jungle King. #Mowgli2025 GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE on 13th DEC 2025. The film was initially slated for a December 12 release. However, due to the rescheduling of Balakrishna's 'Akhanda 2' to the same date, the release of 'Mowgli2025' has been moved back by a day to December 13.

Intriguingly, the decision to delay the film by just one day follows an emotional statement from director Sandeep Raj on Tuesday.

In a message on X, Sandeep Raj expressed, "Perhaps 'Colour Photo' and 'Mowgli' deserved a different director rather than me. These films were created by a team of passionate individuals who would do anything for their craft. Both films have commonalities: 1. They faced unfortunate timing with their release, just when things appeared promising. 2. Me. I may be the source of the BAD LUCK. I’m beginning to feel that way myself."

The director further lamented, "My aspiration of having the title 'Directed by Sandeep Raj' on the big screen is becoming increasingly difficult. I believe the SILVERSCREEN despises me. 'Mowgli' was crafted with the passion, sweat, and dedication of numerous committed individuals like Roshan, Saroj garu, Sakshi, Harsha, DOP Maruthi, Bhairava, and many others. I sincerely hope that good fortune comes to 'Mowgli', at least for their sake."

The released trailer opens with Bandi Saroj Kumar, who portrays a cop in the film, narrating a fable about a king with seven sons. "The seven sons embarked on a hunt and returned with seven fishes. One fish caught did not dry, prompting the seventh son to ask, 'Why did you not dry?'." He then challenges the person across from him to guess the fish's response, which only leads to a reprimand. Bandi Saroj Kumar then quips, "Do fishes even talk?"

The trailer continues with the lead character, Roshan Kanakala. His friend Bunty, while discussing him, mentions, "To me, he is Kittu. To everyone else, he is Mowgli." It becomes clear that Mowgli (played by Roshan Kanakala) and his friend are well-acquainted with the jungle environment. The plot thickens when a film unit arrives to shoot in the jungle, and Jasmine (played by Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar) joins as a background dancer. Mowgli develops feelings for Jasmine, who is both speech and hearing impaired.

The trailer also hints at a troubling character who expresses interest in Jasmine. Another scene features the hero stating, "This isn’t your city, where people hold candle marches after events. We directly light torches."

As tensions rise, a new, ruthless police officer replaces the area’s sub-inspector, someone who upholds a strict belief that no one should touch what he considers his.

As the trailer unfolds, we catch glimpses of Mowgli's struggles to prove his innocence.

Ultimately, it is evident that the film centers around the conflict between Roshan Kanakala's character and Bandi Saroj Kumar's character concerning love.

For those unacquainted, Roshan Kanakala, who captivated audiences with his performance in his debut movie 'Bubble Gum', stars in 'Mowgli 2025', directed by Sandeep Raj, known for his National Award-winning film 'Color Photo'.

Producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Kriti Prasad are backing the film under the People Media Factory banner.

Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar is making her debut as a leading actress in this film, which features cinematography by Rama Maruthi M. The film's music is composed by Kala Bhairava, with editing by Kodati Pawan Kalyan and art direction by Kiran Mamidi. Action choreography is handled by Nataraj Madigonda, while the screenplay is written by Rama Maruthi M and Radhakrishna Reddy.
