Chennai, April 25 (NationPress) The production team behind director Dr Sailesh Kolanu's much-anticipated crime action thriller 'HIT: The Third Case', starring Natural Star Nani in the leading role, unveiled the third single 'Thanu' from the film on Friday.
This melodious track, composed by Mickey J Meyer, features vocals by Anirudh, with lyrics crafted by Raghav.
Nani took to his social media platforms to announce the release, expressing, 'This song and the vibe. Thank you Ani. Fully trippin. A @MickeyJMeyer surprise. #Thanu'
It is noteworthy that Nani mentioned on Thursday that the filmmakers opted not to unveil the visuals for 'Thanu', leading them to produce a specially shot video for this track.
Interestingly, while the lyrics suggest that this slow-burn western rock tune is romantic, the accompanying visuals starkly contrast with Nani's portrayal of his police duties.
Nani embodies the character of a determined officer named Arjun Sarkaar in this film.
The recently released trailer opens with Nani discussing with his superiors his views on handling criminals.
'Criminals belong in a 10-feet lock up or deep inside a six-feet hole. No criminal should be free to walk around until they've faced real behavioural correction. You don't have to be personally affected to feel that way. Just being a police officer is enough.'
This serious tone sets the stage for what follows in the film.
The trailer also features a distressed mother worried about her nine-month-old baby who has been abducted. 'What will they do to her? He is 5'9 or 5'10''. He has a few strands of white hair on his beard.' she explains to the police officer about the kidnapper.
Another scene shows a shopkeeper talking about a soldier who bravely enters a ring to protect those in danger.
'Only he knows how many nights and days he has worked tirelessly to save one life.' the shopkeeper remarks. The trailer concludes with a revealing moment between Arjun (Nani) and his love interest.
When she inquires whether to call him Arjun or Sarkaar, he responds, 'When I am in the midst of people, call me Arjun; when I am in the midst of criminals, I am Sarkaar.'
This film, being the third installment in the HIT universe, is set to release worldwide on May 1 this year.
