Chennai, April 19 (NationPress) Renowned actor Nasser, who features in the highly anticipated action film 'Retro' directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has revealed that actor Suriya, after experiencing an injury to the back of his head, promptly returned to filming.

During the extravagant audio and trailer launch event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Nasser remarked, "I've been following Suriya's career since his debut. His evolution as an actor is remarkable. He possesses a pure heart and is incredibly dedicated, willing to sacrifice anything to fulfill his responsibilities."

The seasoned actor praised Suriya's commitment, stating, "At times, I even felt frustrated by his dedication. I questioned him, 'Why not use a stunt double for dangerous scenes? Why take such risks?'"

Nasser recounted Suriya's response: "No sir, I wish to attempt the stunts myself first. If I can't manage it, I'll try two or three times before considering alternatives. It's essential for me to be the one performing; I want to see my performance on screen and know it’s truly me."

Nasser then shared the incident where Suriya sustained a head injury while filming. "During the shoot, Suriya suffered a blow to the back of his head. He took a short break to recover and quickly returned to filming," Nasser said, turning to Suriya to advise, "We need you around for a long time, so please stay safe."

This action-packed film is slated for release on May 1 this year and has a runtime of two hours, 48 minutes, and 30 seconds.

In addition to Suriya and Pooja Hegde, the film will also feature stars like Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran.
