Neil Bhatt and Shambhavi Singh set Star Parivaar stage on fire with 'Bijuriya', 'Lungi Dance'
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Actor Neil Bhatt and his Parshuram co-star Shambhavi Singh delivered a high-energy performance at Star Parivaar's special fun segment, grooving to 'Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam' from Bad Newz, Sonu Nigam's 'Bijuriya', and an unplanned 'Lungi Dance' that reportedly stole the show. The segment, titled 'Fashion Ke Rang, Rishton Ke Sang', is set to air on Star Plus on 1 June.
What Happened on Stage
Neil Bhatt described performing a couple's act with his co-star on 'Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam', followed by a group performance on 'Bijuriya' and several other tracks. The evening, however, took an unexpected turn when a lungi appeared as a prop during a task segment.
'During a task, a prop was revealed, and it turned out to be a lungi, which instantly reminded everyone of Parshuram and his signature look,' Neil said. Though he was not originally part of that segment, he jumped in spontaneously and performed an impromptu 'Lungi Dance', drawing laughter and applause from the audience and fellow stars.
Neil Bhatt in His Own Words
'Shalini and I performed as a couple on Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam from Bad Newz, and apart from that, we also did a group performance on Bijuriya and many other tracks throughout the show. One of the most fun moments for me happened completely unexpectedly,' the actor said.
He added: 'Everyone had a great laugh, and it became a really memorable moment. It was wonderful getting to interact and have fun with so many other stars from the Star Parivaar. I hope fans enjoy watching their favourite stars as much as we enjoyed being a part of it.'
About Mr. and Mrs. Parshuram
The show Mr. and Mrs. Parshuram is the official Hindi remake of the Bengali TV series Parshuram – Ajker Nayok. It follows an undercover agent named Parashuram who, to the outside world, is an ordinary family man — oscillating between his dual lives.
Neil Bhatt's Career Journey
Neil Bhatt first gained recognition on the dance reality show Kaboom, which he won, before making his acting debut with Arslaan in 2008. He built a steady following through serials including 12/24 Karol Bagh and Gulaal, where he played characters Abhinav Tarneja and Kesar respectively.
He took on the challenging role of Zakir in Diya Aur Baati Hum and later appeared in Tum Hi Ho Bandhu Sakha Tumhi. In 2018, he essayed a negative role in Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. His portrayal of DCP Virat Chavan in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin brought him wider national recognition.
The Star Parivaar special airs on 1 June on Star Plus — and if Neil's account is anything to go by, the lungi moment alone may be worth the watch.
