Chennai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Actress Nimisha Sajayan has been cast as the female lead alongside actor Ashok Selvan in his upcoming film, which commenced production with a traditional pooja ceremony here on Wednesday.

The film marks the directorial debut of Manikandan Anandan and is a collaborative effort between two prominent production houses in Tamil cinema. It is being produced by Million Dollar Studios, known for this year's major Tamil success, 'Tourist Family', and Vels Film International, which is also involved in the production of Dhanush's upcoming project D54 and Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman 2.

Several industry icons, including actor Sasikumar and director Saravanan, graced the pooja ceremony, which also saw the attendance of the film's full cast and crew.

Although the film has yet to be officially titled, it is temporarily referred to as #ProductionNumber6, indicating it is the sixth project from Million Dollar Studios.

According to insider sources, the film is expected to be a true commercial entertainer designed to resonate with diverse audiences. It is planned to be filmed continuously in Chennai and its neighboring regions.

While the main cast has been revealed, additional members of the ensemble have not yet been disclosed. On the technical side, Pushpa Raj Santhosh is on cinematography duties, and Bharath Vikraman will handle editing.

The film's score will be composed by renowned music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas, who shared images from the inaugural event on his social media accounts, expressing excitement for this new venture.
