Chennai, June 18 (NationPress) Director Maruthi, known for his grand cinematic vision, has voiced his optimism that the anticipated film 'The RajaSaab', starring pan-Indian sensation Prabhas, will surpass the impressive Rs 1000 crore milestone upon its release on December 5 this year.
During a media interaction in Hyderabad for the grand teaser launch, Maruthi was queried about the potential of 'The RajaSaab' to eclipse the record-breaking collection of Prabhas’s previous hits, 'Baahubali' and 'Kalki', both of which grossed over 1000 crores.
In response, Maruthi confidently stated in Tamil, "It will definitely make (that sum)." He referenced the success of the Tamil film 'Darling', a remake of his Telugu hit 'Prema Katha Chithram', noting its tremendous reception in Tamil Nadu. "This film too will surely resonate in Tamil Nadu," he added.
When asked if Prabhas portrays dual roles, Maruthi clarified that the actor embodies a single character throughout the film.
Even prior to its release, 'The RajaSaab' is already setting records, having been filmed in India’s most extensive horror-fantasy set ever constructed. A magnificent, haunted mansion filled with secrets and an eerie atmosphere has been built for the production.
The recently unveiled teaser showcases Prabhas in two striking appearances — one exuding undeniable charisma and high energy, and the other suggesting darker, more mystical elements.
Joining Prabhas in this thrilling venture are Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, each contributing to the enigmatic narrative surrounding the cursed mansion.
Produced by People Media Factory and directed by Maruthi, 'The RajaSaab' is set to hit theaters on December 5 this year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, aiming for a pan-Indian audience.
