Mumbai, May 10 (NationPress) Actor Pratik Gandhi has shown his unwavering support for the courageous Indian soldiers, their families, and all those impacted by conflicts near the borders. He is fervently praying for their safety and hopes that peace and humanity will ultimately overcome terrorism.
Pratik shared his sentiments on Instagram, stating: “My heart goes out to our brave soldiers, their families, and everyone affected in the border regions. I am praying for their wellbeing and safety. May peace and humanity prevail over terrorism. (sic).”
He further expressed his pride in the Indian armed forces.
The escalation in tensions followed India's launch of Operation Sindoor, a series of targeted strikes on nine terror camps situated in both Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives.
On the night of May 8 and May 9, Pakistan deployed a fleet of 300 to 400 drones, preliminarily identified as Turkish-made Asisguard Songar models. Many of these were intercepted via a combination of kinetic and electronic warfare technologies, including the Barak-8 and S-400 Triumph missile defense systems, Akash surface-to-air missiles, and indigenous anti-drone measures.
In his acting career, Pratik was last featured in “Phule,” a biographical film directed by Mahadevan.
This film explores the lives of Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, showcasing their contributions to social reform and education in India. However, its release faced delays after objections from a segment of the Brahmin community in Maharashtra concerning its portrayal.
Next, he will appear in the upcoming satire “Baaghi Bechare,” directed by Sumit Purohit, alongside Abhishek Banerjee and Faisal Malik.
Pratik earned widespread recognition for his portrayal of stockbroker Harshad Mehta in the 2020 biographical drama web series “Scam 1992,” directed by Hansal Mehta.
In 2021, he starred in the Hindi film “Bhavai,” and in 2022, he was seen in “Atithi Bhooto Bhava.” He also appeared in “Dedh Bigha Zameen,” which was written and directed by Pulkit.
In July 2022, director Hansal Mehta announced a multi-season biographical web series focused on Mahatma Gandhi, featuring Pratik in the lead role.
