Mumbai, May 7 (NationPress) Actor Vivek Oberoi has described the recent operation titled 'Operation Sindoor', executed by Indian forces against terror camps in Pakistan, as a meticulously planned and precise action against terrorism.
The actor, known for portraying PM Modi in the film 'PM Narendra Modi', expressed his thoughts on his X account, formerly Twitter, where he commended the Indian forces for their exceptional accuracy.
He stated, “Terror will not triumph, India’s spirit and strength will continue to rise to reclaim the light and ensure that such darkness never tarnishes our sacred land. The world must unite against the menace of terrorism. We must not succumb to propaganda that seeks to divide us; this is not a conflict against any religion or nation, but rather a fight against terror.”
“Operation Sindoor serves as retribution for the sorrow of India’s widows and sends a clear message to terrorists that their vile actions will face consequences,” he further added.
The recent military actions, which took place in a pre-dawn offensive known as Operation Sindoor, targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan. Indian forces focused on dismantling terrorist infrastructure in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as confirmed by a press release from the Ministry of Defence.
Reportedly, surface-to-surface missiles were deployed to hit the terror camps in Pakistan. In response, Pakistan has spread a tide of misinformation to sway public opinion in its favor. However, media reports have highlighted some collateral damage in certain areas.
Pakistani officials alleged that they shot down five Indian fighter jets; yet, the lack of credible evidence renders this claim dubious.
This operation is a direct response to the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of 25 Indian civilians and one Nepali national.
The government of New Delhi has stated that these strikes were non-escalatory in nature.
