Hyderabad, Dec 4 (NationPress) The production team behind the highly awaited action drama 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam', directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has officially revealed that the premiere screenings in India, set for Thursday, have been called off due to technical difficulties.

In a statement shared on their X account, 14 Reels Plus, the film's production company, stated, "#Akhanda2 Premieres in India that were planned for today are cancelled due to technical issues. We have exerted every effort, but certain factors are out of our control. We apologize for any inconvenience. However, the overseas premieres will proceed as scheduled today."

The film has generated significant anticipation and has received clearance from the Censor Board for release, granting it a U/A certificate.

As previously reported by IANS, the film completed its censor processes and is set for release with a runtime of 166 minutes (2 hours and 44 minutes).

The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 5 this year.

A freshly released teaser by the filmmakers has only heightened expectations. The teaser reveals adversaries of the country plotting to undermine India's foundations. It features Balakrishna, clad as a sadhu, proclaiming, "Where there is evil, simultaneously, there is a God! Be fearless." in his signature style.

The teaser reinforces the narrative introduced in the trailer, showcasing Balakrishna's character as possessing a divine strength within him, confronting formidable sorcerers who assist India's foes. Viewers can expect thrilling action sequences in the film.

It's clear from the teaser that Balakrishna's character will battle both external threats to the nation and malevolent forces aiming to disrupt peace and harmony in 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam'.

Produced on a grand scale by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with presentation by M Tejaswini Nandamuri, this sequel is expected to be a grand cinematic experience, with Boyapati Sreenu crafting an even more expansive narrative.

The film's exhilarating background score by S Thaman is anticipated to elevate high-energy scenes, delivering the signature excitement that fans eagerly await. Balakrishna's dynamic and spiritually charged character has already captured the admiration of fans and cinema enthusiasts alike.

The cast includes Samyuktha as the female lead, with Aadhi Pinisetty in a significant role, and Harshali Malhotra playing a pivotal character.
