In a heartfelt discussion, Karuna Pandey shared insights on Pushpa’s transformation, her preparation for this new role, and her aspirations for the future.

Reflecting on this new chapter in Pushpa’s life after the 7-year leap, Karuna expressed, “It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of Pushpa Impossible as it progresses. Pushpa’s journey has entered a remarkable new phase. Having studied law, transitioning to an advocate felt like a natural and impactful evolution.”

She continued, “Pushpa has always aimed to support society, standing by those who are less fortunate. This new role allows her to take further steps in that direction. Learning I would portray a lawyer made me genuinely excited, as Pushpa has always dedicated herself to helping others. Now, as a lawyer, she can advocate for people more effectively than ever.” Karuna elaborated on Pushpa’s significant growth from a student in her late 40s to a legally empowered advocate post-leap.

“Pushpa has undergone substantial personal growth,” she noted. “Her essence remains unchanged – her authenticity, innocence, and beauty endure – but she has matured. She has learned when to respond and when to remain calm, and her understanding of right and wrong has deepened. It’s quite rare in television to portray a woman who begins her educational journey at 40, completes her studies, manages a business, and becomes a lawyer. I find this narrative incredibly inspiring for our audience.”

Karuna also touched upon how Pushpa’s relationships with her children and family have evolved after the leap. “While the dynamics have shifted, the love remains unwavering. With her children now grown and pursuing their own lives, adjustments are necessary. Pushpa has adapted to these changes but still strives to maintain her role as a devoted mother. She intervenes when necessary and worries like any mother, yet she understands the importance of finding the right balance between involvement and independence,” Karuna explained.

Pandey elaborated on her preparation for portraying Pushpa as a lawyer. “I wouldn’t claim to have studied law extensively, but I did engage with professionals, watch informative videos, and observe courtroom procedures and different lawyers’ styles. I gathered as much knowledge as possible. However, more than anything, I relied on the script, as we are crafting a fictional narrative. While ensuring authenticity, I allowed the script to guide my portrayal, striking a crucial balance.” Karuna also discussed how this new storyline aims to connect with viewers and create an impact.

She stated, “Every woman aspires to contribute to society just as men do and deserves equal opportunities. In this narrative, Pushpa steps into a predominantly male legal realm, shedding light on this reality.” She added, “The existence of male dominance in courtrooms is undeniable, and our show emphasizes this, while also recognizing it in various aspects of life. We’ve made significant strides since the days when women remained silent about their rights. Today, women stand alongside men, stepping into leadership roles and advocating for equality. I believe this storyline will particularly resonate with our wonderful female audience and spur meaningful discussions.”

The actress also reflected on how her character Pushpa has influenced her over the years. “Portraying a character for such an extended period inevitably inspires and impacts you. I’ve been immersed in her world for 12 hours daily for several years. Pushpa has taught me to advocate for what is right, to focus my energy on my objectives, and to avoid wasting time on unimportant matters. It’s essential to invest your energy in positive pursuits and in directions that align with your goals, rather than fixating on things beyond your control.”
