Chennai, June 10 (NationPress) The producers of director Raghav Mirdath's romantic drama 'Bun Butter Jam', starring Bigg Boss sensation Raju Jeyamohan in the lead role, have officially revealed that this eagerly awaited film is set to premiere on July 18 of this year.
Raju announced the film's release on his timeline on X, sharing the date provided by the filmmakers. He mentioned, "Marriages may be made in Heaven, but some love stories are entirely made by mothers. A game between Gen Zs and boomers! Begins on July 18. #BunButterJam in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. #BunButterJamFromJuly18. A film by @RMirdath and a musical by @nivaskprasanna. Produced by @RainofarrowsENT and @sureshs1202."
The film's initial look poster, released nearly a year ago, captivated film enthusiasts with its unique design.
Unlike conventional posters, the team opted for a hand-painted artwork as their film's first look.
This Renaissance-style painting depicted a battle scene where the hero, despite sustaining injuries, relished a sandwich made with jam and butter.
The painting conveyed a meaningful message, which director Raghav Mirdath elaborated on. He emphasized that individuals engage in daily battles within their minds.
"These battles could stem from painful memories or anxiety about an uncertain future, leading them to overlook the present moment," the director explained.
He noted that many people prioritize solving issues before enjoying life, unaware that such a problem-free time may never arrive. The painting's imagery of Raju enjoying a sandwich amidst battle injuries aimed to illustrate the importance of embracing life's good moments, despite looming difficulties.
Raghav admitted that the film's storyline was inspired by a suggestion from the producer, which he expanded into a full script.
Alongside Raju, the lead cast includes Adhya Prasad and Bhavya Trikha, with pivotal roles played by Saranya Ponvannan, Devadarshini, Charlie, Michael Thangadurai, and VJ Pappu.
