Rana Daggubati Reveals Uncle Venkatesh Daggubati's 'Hangry' Personality

Mumbai, Jan 10 (NationPress) The first season of The Rana Daggubati Show, led by Rana Daggubati, has officially wrapped up. For the concluding episode of this talk show, the Baahubali star was accompanied by his uncle, the iconic actor Venkatesh Daggubati.
The season finale of Prime Video's The Rana Daggubati Show boasted a lineup of esteemed guests including Venkatesh Daggubati, director Anil Ravipudi, and actresses Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary. They will all appear together in the upcoming film Sankranthiki Vasthunam.
During the episode, filmmaker Anil Ravipudi shared some amusing insights into Venkatesh's quirky habits on set, revealing, “Venky Sir only has reservations when it comes to food.” Rana Daggubati added, “I’ve observed that he doesn't get mad, but rather becomes ‘Hangry.’” He recounted an incident during a Mumbai shoot when he managed to ease a tense situation after a prolonged shoot delayed lunch. The typically serene Venkatesh was on the verge of losing his composure when Rana announced a break for lunch.
Later in the discussion about Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Venkatesh humorously recalled, “I was slapped by Aishwarya Rajesh’s character several times.” Aishwarya responded with surprise, asking, “Sir, has anyone ever hit you like this?” Venkatesh replied, “This is my first experience.” Aishwarya further shared, “I did slap him quite hard in the film. When I inquired if it was painful, Venky sir encouraged me to slap harder, but insisted it should be done in one take.”
Rana Daggubati not only hosted The Rana Daggubati Show but also produced it under his company, Spirit Media. The debut season featured notable figures from the film industry, including Dulquer Salmaan, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Sreeleela, Nani, S.S. Rajamouli, Rishab Shetty, Ram Gopal Varma, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Aishwarya Rajesh, among others. Following the tremendous success of the first season, movie enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating future seasons of this talk show.
