Dulquer Salmaan Commends Rana Daggubati’s Drive for Excellence Over Fame

Mumbai, Dec 27 (NationPress) Malayalam cinema superstar Dulquer Salmaan and Telugu star Rana Daggubati are fostering a remarkable friendship, setting new benchmarks in camaraderie. In the most recent episode of the Telugu streaming chat show The Rana Daggubati Show, Dulquer expressed high regard for Rana’s commitment to excellence.

During a heartfelt discussion, Dulquer reminisced about their initial encounter, saying, “When I was in ninth grade, you must’ve been in eighth.”

To which Rana humorously replied, “No, I probably flunked two years. I must have been in sixth or something.”

Dulquer also affectionately remembered Rana’s visit to his home in Kochi during the filming of Virata Parvam, stating, “That was the first time he came over and met my mom. She adored him. Rana ate a lot, and she has a soft spot for kids who enjoy their food. It was an immediate bond.”

During the conversation, Dulquer commended Rana’s debut in Leader as an audacious choice. He remarked, “I’ve always respected how Rana doesn’t pursue fame but rather seeks out engaging narratives and unforgettable characters.”

In return, Rana praised Dulquer’s adaptability and talent for selecting unique roles, especially in Telugu cinema. He noted, “From the moment Dulq embarked on his journey, I knew he’d achieve something extraordinary. His storytelling approach and the characters he’s portrayed have made a lasting impact in Telugu cinema.”

The two actors also discussed their collaboration on Kaantha, sharing insights into the obstacles they encountered during its production.

Dulquer shared, “This film has been in development for years. We’ve had numerous discussions, disagreements, and even arguments, which was unusual for us. But no matter what, we’d always reconcile and push ahead.”

Rana added, “Producing and acting in Kaantha together has been an amazing adventure. It’s unlike anything we’ve done before. The process has brought us even closer, and the film stands as a testament to our friendship and mutual passion for cinema.”

Created, hosted, and executive produced by Rana Daggubati under the Spirit Media banner, The Rana Daggubati Show is available for streaming on Prime Video.
