The short film, helmed by Arvind Caulagi and produced by National Award-winning filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria in conjunction with KASHISH Film Festival and Lotus Visual Productions, first made a significant impact at esteemed film festivals and is now poised to reach a broader audience via YouTube.

Regarding the film, Richa Chadha remarked, “Cinema wields immense power to change viewpoints. ‘Taps’ is one of those narratives that gently yet profoundly unveils the layers of identity, love, and self-acceptance. We’ve engaged in numerous discussions about representation in media, and to support a film that gets it right is an honor. We hope people will unlock their hearts a bit more. Enjoy ‘Taps’ with your partner, friends, or even alone; let it resonate with you.”

The film features newcomers Ullas Samrat and Ronit Mehra, offering an intimate portrayal of how a couple finds their way back to one another. For Ali and Richa, both passionate advocates for inclusivity and meaningful storytelling, promoting the film on a global platform signifies a commitment to amplifying voices that need recognition. The film also secured the KASHISH QDrishti Film Grant.

Ali Fazal stated, “Love has often been depicted in broad strokes—roses, candlelight, grand gestures. However, love encompasses much more. ‘Taps’ captures something deeply personal, raw, and authentic. It serves as a reminder that love is not solely about who we love but how we love—with honesty, bravery, and resilience. Richa and I felt strongly that this film deserved a wide audience. Bringing this story to the world feels incredibly right.”

'Taps’ is a production of Sudhanshu Saria's Four Line Entertainment in partnership with the KASHISH Arts Foundation and Lotus Visual Production.
