Mumbai, June 4 (NationPress) Director R.S. Prasanna, who is preparing for the launch of his latest film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, believes that a degree of anxiety is essential in the creative process.
The director recently conversed with IANS prior to the film's release, which stars Bollywood icon Aamir Khan in the lead role.
In his discussion with IANS, Prasanna stated, “The essence of creation serves as my inspiration; anxiety is a companion that will always be present. However, if you are solely motivated by anxiety, I doubt you can truly create. It's when creative energy surpasses anxiety that real creation occurs. Much like the film ‘Inside Out’ illustrated, anxiety is akin to maintaining the right balance between acceleration and braking. Without acceleration, progress halts, and without brakes, accidents are inevitable. Both are necessary.”
He further shared his experience working alongside Aamir in the film, noting, “I feel that Aamir sir, and I can certainly speak for myself, has collaborated with the finest directors. However, I can confidently say that Aamir sir's unique charm is that he enhances your capabilities as a filmmaker from the beginning of the project.”
“He pushes you to improve continuously, always striving to be better than he was the previous day while keeping the film as his sole focus,” he added.
