Did Sahil Anand Find Working with a Cow in 'Godaan' to be His Toughest Challenge?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 31 (NationPress) Actor Sahil Anand described his experience of working alongside a cow in the upcoming drama "Godaan" as one of the most demanding moments of his career.
He confessed that filming with a young calf proved to be a significant mental hurdle.
"I had to yield to her silence," he mentioned.
Sahil shared that he opted to embrace spontaneity during the filming, fully conscious that collaborating with a cow would present difficulties.
“It was already tough because it was a cow, and on top of that, she was a baby cow, quite mischievous,” he noted.
Reflecting on his filming experience, Sahil indicated that the cow's behavior was unpredictable during different takes.
“She would do whatever she pleased. When the camera was rolling, she would shy away, turn her head, run, jump, drink water, or even relieve herself mid-scene. At times, it was amusing, but also very demanding,” he elaborated.
Sahil emphasized that this process called for both mental fortitude and patience.
“I never became frustrated. From the very beginning, I decided to allow her the time she needed. When she was ready, I would take my shot,” the actor said.
He further revealed that certain scenes required an extensive amount of time to film, as controlling the animal's behavior was impossible.
“At times, it took up to 20 takes or even hours just to achieve one expression or a simple glance. There were instances when she wouldn’t even look at me; she would simply run off or get distracted,” he reminisced.
Labeling it a mental challenge, Sahil remarked that this experience taught him the virtues of patience and tranquility.
“It was incredibly tough, but it also transformed my approach to acting. Working with the cow demanded patience, empathy, and emotional control,” he concluded.
"Godaan" is set to hit theaters on February 6.
