What Did Suniel Shetty Say About Ahaan’s Challenges After His Film Debut?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, January 12 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Suniel Shetty recently expressed his emotions during the launch of the song for Border 2. He discussed the tough times his son, Ahaan Shetty, faced following his debut film, underlining the fact that even the children of stars encounter hardships.
From a father’s perspective, Suniel revealed that there was a pause after Ahaan's first film, Tadap, which led to personal challenges for their family.
“After his initial film, there was a brief hiatus. Life is always filled with challenges,” Suniel shared.
Countering the common belief that star kids have it easy, he remarked, “People often assume that Suniel Shetty’s son would receive ample opportunities. However, Ahaan has dealt with numerous struggles.”
He acknowledged that witnessing his son endure this difficult period was emotionally taxing, serving as a test of their collective patience and resilience.
Suniel expressed profound gratitude towards the producers of Border 2, Nidhi Dutta and JP Dutta, stating that he was thankful Ahaan secured a role in such a significant project at a pivotal time in his career.
“I am thrilled that he got a film like Border 2, which could not be more perfect. I just hope he has done justice to the role and that the film succeeds for all of us,” he noted.
Suniel also reflected on the principles he has always strived to instill in Ahaan. “I advised him that whatever he does, it should come from the heart,” he mentioned.
The proud father added that this conviction makes him immensely grateful to those who have supported Ahaan. “That’s why I often use the term ‘indebted’ rather than just saying thank you. I consider Nidhi like my own daughter,” he said, acknowledging the emotional backing provided by the film's team to his family.
Emphasizing the significance of Border 2 as an opportunity for him as a father, Suniel stated, “For Nidhi to cast Ahaan in such a significant film is monumental. So, from a father’s standpoint, I feel indebted.”
Additionally, he thanked the team for their faith in his son, saying, “A heartfelt thank you to everyone for making this possible; they showered Ahaan with so much love. I am deeply thankful for it all.”
Expressing appreciation towards director JP Dutta, Suniel added, “I want to extend my gratitude to JP for this opportunity. Today, Ahaan is where he is because of that. Thank you all.”
For those unaware, Ahaan Shetty made his acting debut with Tadap in 2021, which did not do well at the box office.
Border 2, featuring Ahaan Shetty, also stars Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan.
The film is set to release on January 23 of this year.
