Mumbai, April 17 (NationPress) Actor Amal Sehrawat, known for his collaborations with esteemed director Ram Gopal Varma in films like "Satya 2" and "Sarkaar 3", recounted the director's response after witnessing his initial audition.
He shared that his all-time favorite Bollywood film has been "Satya".
Reflecting on his debut film, "Satya 2", Amal expressed, "The moment I signed the contract for its sequel, I felt it was a pivotal moment in my career. Fortunately, my performance received praise from RGV sir and film critics like Taran Adarsh sir, which significantly boosted my confidence.”
He also shared a captivating story about how he was cast in the film. “After my photos made the shortlist, I was invited to RGV sir’s office. He asked me to prepare a scene on the spot. When I arrived for the audition, I found there was no camera. Instead, he required a live performance. Although I tried my best, he was not entirely satisfied. He requested me to come back in a suitable costume. Unfortunately, I couldn’t secure another appointment due to his busy schedule with pre-production, so I recorded my audition on a DVD and gave it to his Chief AD, Sujit Dube sir.
