Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) The entire film world was left reeling after Saif Ali Khan was brutally stabbed multiple times during a robbery attempt. Recently circulated CCTV footage shows the assailant fleeing from the staircase soon after the attack.
The footage reveals the attacker on the sixth-floor staircase, following the incident on the 12th floor. This alarming event occurred at 2:15 am on January 16, 2025, when the intruder reportedly entered the actor's Bandra residence through his younger son Jeh’s room. While the assailant assaulted their house help, Saif Ali Khan was awakened by the ruckus. In his attempt to defend, he suffered six injuries, two of which were dangerously close to his spine.
Consequently, Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital. Dr. Nitin Dange, who participated in the procedure, stated, "Saif Ali Khan was admitted at 2:00 am. He incurred a significant injury to the thoracic spinal cord, caused by a knife lodged in his spine. The surgery aimed to extract the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid. Additionally, two deep wounds on his left hand and neck were addressed by the plastic surgery team. He is now completely stable and on the path to recovery.”
Stars including Sanjay Dutt, Malaika, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Sara Ali Khan, and Ibrahim Ali Khan visited the actor at Lilavati Hospital.
Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital by a member of his domestic staff, contradicting earlier reports that suggested his elder son Ibrahim Ali Khan was responsible for the transport. A source clarified, “Neither Ibrahim nor Taimur. The house help took the actor in an auto-rickshaw.”
