Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, whose latest film ‘Sikandar’ is receiving tremendous acclaim in cinemas, brought joy to his admirers on Monday. Despite ongoing security issues, the star upheld his custom of reaching out to fans on Eid.

This year, however, he greeted his supporters from a balcony shielded by bullet-proof glass to protect against potential sniper threats.

On his Instagram account, Salman shared a video where he was seen waving to his loyal fanbase from the balcony of his home, located in the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai.

Dressed in a traditional white Pathani suit, he connected with a crowd of fans outside his residence through the protective glass.

In his post, he expressed gratitude with the caption, “Shukriya Thank you aur sab ko Eid Mubarak.”

Earlier this January, Salman had new bullet-proof glass fitted in his balcony from where he regularly greets fans, alongside the installation of CCTV cameras and an advanced security system to monitor the area.

According to reports, the actor lives in a 1 BHK flat on the ground floor of Galaxy Apartments, while his parents reside on the first floor.

Last April, two men on a motorcycle fired four shots at Salman Khan's home and escaped. The actor suspects gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was behind it, intending to harm him and his family. His father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, has also faced threats from alleged members of Bishnoi's gang, who is currently incarcerated.

In October of this year, Salman’s close friend Baba Siddique was shot near his office in the Bandra area of Mumbai.

Baba was renowned for hosting extravagant Iftar parties attended by numerous high-profile guests. Notably, it was at a Baba Siddique Iftar party in 2013 that the long-standing rivalry between Bollywood icons Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan was resolved after a five-year feud that divided the industry.
