Mumbai, Jan 28 (NationPress) Actor Shahid Kapoor recently shared insights about his initial encounters with Randeep Hooda, disclosing that he felt a sense of intimidation during their workshops at the National School of Drama (NSD) with Naseeruddin Shah.

In a recent live interaction, the star of Jab We Met mentioned that Randeep, being more experienced during their workshops, had a commanding presence that made him feel somewhat fearful at the time. However, as time has progressed, their bond has transformed into a robust friendship, and Shahid is now looking forward to collaborating with Randeep in their forthcoming project Ustara.

During the session, Shahid expressed, “Randeep Hooda is also there. How can I forget? He’s my buddy from his NSD days when I also visited. I’m very excited. This is my first time working with Randeep. We’ve never worked together. We actually did a lot of acting workshops together with Naseer uncle. He was very senior to me, and I used to be very scared of him.”

Shahid and Randeep are collaborating for the first time in Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming film, Ustara. This action-packed thriller, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, features a remarkable cast that includes veteran actor Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, and Tripti Dimri.

Recently, the creators revealed the release date for the highly awaited film. The announcement read, “#SajidNadiadwala presents a @vishalrbhardwaj film A spectacular cinematic journey begins on 6th Jan 2025. Film releasing on 5th December 2025.”

Shahid Kapoor previously shared a sneak peek of his “prep time” on Instagram Stories with a post-workout black and white selfie. Based on his post, it appears he is gearing up to portray an “edgy nasty gangster” from the 1990s.

He captioned the post, “Prep time...Naya saal naya maal (New year, new stuff)... Next character, next film what can I do that I haven't before... Lost in the woods... But you can't be original if you aren't ready to be lost...”

Reportedly, “Ustara” will take place in Mumbai during a previous era, concentrating on events within the post-independence underworld.
