Sivakarthikeyan: My Father-in-Law Holds a Special Place in My Heart

Chennai, Jan. 6 (NationPress) One of the rapidly ascending stars in Tamil cinema, Sivakarthikeyan, recently became emotional while expressing his gratitude towards his father-in-law for believing in him and supporting him during a crucial phase when he aimed to follow his aspirations.
As a special guest at the audio launch of Nesippaya, directed by the renowned Vishnu Vardhan and starring Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar, Sivakarthikeyan offered advice to lead actor Akash Murali, whose father-in-law, Xavier Britto, is the producer of the film.
Sivakarthikeyan remarked, "We often speak of our mothers, fathers, siblings, or even friends whenever we get the chance. Nevertheless, there is a significant figure in everyone’s life, which is their father-in-law. This relationship holds special importance for many individuals."
Addressing Akash, who was present in the audience, Sivakarthikeyan mentioned, "Brother Akash, you belong to a category of individuals for whom this connection is meaningful. Your father-in-law has endorsed your ambition to create a substantial film. The only thing you need to reciprocate is your diligence and achievements. This, I believe, will bring them joy."
The actor then shared how his father-in-law supported him when he was just a television host, expressing his gratitude.
"For me, my father-in-law is special. It is a significant gesture that he chose to give me the hand of his daughter. My father-in-law is technically my maternal uncle (my mother's brother). However, at the time of my marriage, I was not financially stable. I was merely a television host earning Rs 4500 per episode. Yet, during that period, my father-in-law said, 'He aspires to achieve something. Moving to Madras (Chennai) and thriving there is already a challenge. He wants to enter cinema. Let’s support him.'
"As I stand here on this stage, I wish to convey my thanks to my father-in-law. He was the one who courageously backed me. My father-in-law suffered a heart attack at the age of 43. He relinquished his business afterward to care for his two daughters. Alongside them, he also had to support us, his sister's children, especially following the passing of my father."
"Instead of urging me to seek a job that could earn a substantial sum, he encouraged me to pursue my dreams. The bond between a father-in-law and a son-in-law is truly beautiful," Sivakarthikeyan concluded.
Nesippaya, a romantic action film featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Cameron Eric Bryson from Portugal, is anticipated to release during Pongal this year.
