Sonu Nigam Urges Politicians to Refrain from Attending Shows if They Must Depart Early

Mumbai, Dec 10 (NationPress) Singer Sonu Nigam, while performing at an event titled “Rising Rajasthan”, has urged politicians to refrain from attending performances if they are going to leave before the conclusion, emphasizing that it shows a lack of respect for the artist.
Sonu shared a video on Instagram where he made a heartfelt request to politicians not to attend shows.
In the video, Sonu, speaking in Hindi, mentioned: “Delegates have gathered from around the globe to elevate the pride of Rajasthan. There were a Chief Minister, a youth minister, and a sports minister. Due to the lighting, I couldn't see everyone present.”
“During the performance, I noticed that the CM and others left. Their departure prompted all the delegates to follow suit. I kindly request all politicians, if you do not show respect for your artists, how can you expect the public to do the same?”
“I urge you all, if you must leave, please do not attend. Or exit before the show begins. Departing in the midst of an artist's performance is profoundly disrespectful. It is an affront to Saraswati.
If you choose to leave, it does not signify the end of art. My humble request is that if you must depart, please do so before the performance starts. Feel free to leave early. You are esteemed individuals with numerous responsibilities, and your time is valuable. Thank you. I humbly ask all of you.”
Sonu captioned the video: “A humble request to all the esteemed Politicians of India, please do not attend any performance of any artist if you must leave abruptly in the middle. This is a disservice to Art and Artists and to Maa Sarasvati.
