The production company 2D Entertainment took to its social media page to reveal the news, posting a banner that read, "Worldwide 235 crore" along with a heartfelt message: "Dear Audience and #AnbaanaFans, we’re truly grateful for your overwhelming love and support for #TheOne. This success is entirely thanks to you. #RETRO"
It’s noteworthy that 'Retro' has proven to be a blockbuster, with the producers announcing its collections had surpassed ₹100 crore on May 6.
Significantly, the team held a thanksgiving event where Suriya pledged ₹10 crore from the film’s earnings to the Agaram Foundation, enabling more students to chase their higher education aspirations.
