Los Angeles, Sep 22 (NationPress) The dedication of Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney to her craft has been highlighted by director Paul Feig. He noted that the actress did not let her personal struggles interfere with her professional life, even as her engagement faced challenges.

The 28-year-old star parted ways with her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, earlier this year while filming ‘The Housemaid’ with Feig. The director remarked that Sydney maintained a positive attitude despite the personal upheaval, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.

Feig shared with the ‘Wall Street Journal’, “She loves to work. She was fully engaged emotionally, eager for any challenge, and did not let her personal issues affect her on set. I knew she was dealing with some tough times, especially with the news of her broken engagement. Yet, she would always respond to my inquiries about her well-being with, ‘I’m fine, I’m great!’ without any defensiveness.”

As reported by ‘Female First UK’, Sydney has kept a low profile regarding her breakup, confirming her single status in an interview with The Times published in May, stating, “No, I’m not planning a wedding. Yes, I’m single. I’m learning a lot about myself and enjoying more time with my friends.”

In her conversation with the WSJ, Sydney acknowledged that she is currently immersing herself in her work and experiences anxiety about taking time off.

When addressing her previous remarks about not being able to take a six-month break, Sydney clarified, “What I meant was that I didn’t have time for such a lengthy absence. I’ve been incredibly busy, and it’s still the same. I prefer not to take extended breaks, as I feel anxious even thinking about taking a few days off. However, if I wanted to, I could easily secure bookings for the next three to four years.”

A source previously informed ‘People’ magazine, “Sydney is exactly where she wants to be. Many would feel overwhelmed by her busy schedule this year, but not Sydney. She is fully focused on her work and excited about all her upcoming projects.”
