Los Angeles, Nov 8 (NationPress) Actress Sydney Sweeney expressed her concerns about potentially getting sick mid-air after enjoying a night of drinks before her skydiving adventure.
During her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she revealed that she was "terrified" yet eager to embrace new experiences. The 28-year-old star of Euphoria was shown a snapshot of herself during the jump, screaming as she plummeted through the sky with an instructor.
Colbert inquired, "What motivated you to do this? Are you a fan of heights?"
Sweeney candidly replied, "No, I’m terrified of heights," characterizing the entire experience as "terrifying." When pressed about her decision to skydive, she explained it was part of her "year of trying new things," stating, "So I decided to jump out of a plane!"
Colbert was curious about her preparation for the jump.
Sweeney recounted, "I spent the night barhopping with my cousins in a town that has about three bars and one church, staying out until 3 AM. Then I went skydiving at six!"
The host was taken aback and asked if she was still feeling the effects of her previous night’s festivities.
She admitted, "I was a bit worried that something might come up – that I wouldn’t be the only thing falling from the sky." Despite her anxiety, she described the jump as "a blast."
She shared, "I was mesmerized by the view of the farmland below."
Sweeney mentioned she jumped over a lake, to which Colbert humorously responded, "If you hit a lake at terminal velocity, it doesn’t end well!"
Later in the conversation, Sweeney revealed how she convinced her parents to allow her to pursue acting when she was younger.
She shared, "I created a five-year business plan presentation at the age of 10."
She noted that it was a "hard sell" and required "years" to sway them to support her aspirations in entertainment.
Sweeney added that her mother still keeps the presentation.
Additionally, she mentioned spending a lot of time in Idaho, where she resides in her great-grandparents' former home.
She expressed, "As a child, I would run across the yard to visit my cousins. Three years ago, I knocked on the door and said, ‘I want to buy back my great-grandmother’s house.’"
She described her family as having always been "running amok" between nearby homes and revealed she named her property "Camp Run Amok."
